Brooklin is in Downeast Maine, near Acadia National Park.

• Driving from Boston: 4.5 hours

• Driving from Portland: 2.5 hours

• Driving from Bangor: 1 hour

Bangor is the closest airport, but Boston or Portland may be a more affordable option.

You can rent a car out of any airport. From Bangor, there are several bus service options to Ellsworth. Here is the timetable for the public bus and here is a rundown of other bus companies.
